Frederick, MD — We are thrilled to announce that Michaila Sprites, Connections Director at Village Crossing at Worman’s Mill, has been named a 2024 Ceca Long Term Care Hero award recipient. This prestigious recognition, awarded by the Ceca Foundation in collaboration with LifeSpan, the largest senior care provider association in the Mid-Atlantic, highlights Michaila’s exceptional contributions to the well-being of our residents and their families.
“We couldn’t be prouder of Michaila and the incredible difference she makes every day,” said Kelly Andress, President and Founder of SageLife. “Her dedication and care for our residents embody the very best of what we strive to achieve at Village Crossing at Worman’s Mill.”
The Ceca Foundation and LifeSpan recognize that ordinary people often perform extraordinary acts of kindness and service, making the world a better place. “Michaila’s dedication to our community is a shining example of this principle,” added Amanda Gill, Executive Director at Village Crossing. “Residents and their families have consistently praised her compassion, patience, warmth, and unwavering support.”
One family member expressed their gratitude, saying, “Michaila makes our days a bit better as we cope with this difficult dementia journey. She wears her cape every day and sincerely fights as a hero to personally improve the quality of life for so many people.”
Michaila will be honored at the annual LifeSpan conference this September, where she will join other heroes in long-term care who have made a significant impact in their communities.
